A good sense of humor goes a long way

It is a rarity when working in an assisted care facility that you are told to hurry up. Tonight, i had an 85 year old person with late onset of Parkinson's tell me to hurry up. Holy hanana. All I hear is come on come on come ON ... you should be moving faster. Needless to say, I can not wait to harrass my aides with my sarcasm when I get older.

grocery store jungle..

Do you ever walk into a grocery store that is not the one you usually visit, and feel completely lost?! Even though the set ups generally follow the same floor plan. You feel as though you not going to be able to find the same bananas and peanut butter you always buy. That was me today. Lost trying to find a bar of soap hahaha.

why is that...

why is that the right thing the hardest.

i hate it. i hate it like how i hate belly buttons (which says a lot, if you know me well). i wish the right thing was the easy thing, it would just be second nature. instead many a times were going against our gut reactions (heart) and going with the rational (heads). last night i had an opportunity that deep down i wish i acted on, and yet im glad i didn't. and yet im stewing over it tonight, gah. stupid heart, you should be more rational.

Short but sweet

Love this song, it speaks volumes to me:
Sleeping to dream - Jason Mraz

Heard Roxana Saberi speak tonight. One amazing thoughts. Two loved her quote: Take your challenges and turn them into your opportunities.
